Janitorial Supervisor
Run the crews that get major job sites, government contracts, and commercial buildings across the DMV ready for inspection — on schedule, every time.
More than assigning mops
AquaFree supervises commercial, government/procurement, renovation, and post-construction cleaning projects throughout the DMV — including builds over 100,000 square feet with leading Mid-Atlantic general contractors. You'll lead field teams through rough clean, final clean, and touch-up phases, and make the call on whether an area is ready for turnover.
- Supervise and direct 8–25 janitorial employees per assigned project
- Run pre-shift meetings and assign floors, phases, and areas of responsibility
- Inspect completed work against AquaFree and client quality standards
- Oversee post-construction final-clean and turnover projects, including rough clean, final clean, and powder-puff phases
- Coordinate staffing across multiple phases and mobilizations on large-scale builds
- Track attendance, punctuality, and productivity across the crew
- Communicate directly with project managers, superintendents, GCs, and property managers
- Flag staffing, supply, equipment, or quality concerns before they become deadline problems
- Keep documentation current — staffing, inspections, incidents, completed work
- Train and onboard new field employees
- Travel between project sites across the assigned territory
Who fits this job
You should have
- Janitorial, commercial cleaning, facilities, or construction-cleaning experience
- A track record supervising multiple employees in the field
- The ability to manage teams of 8–25 at once
- A valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Reliable transportation for travel between sites
You should be able to
- Read scopes of work, schedules, and cleaning specs
- Hold field staff accountable for performance and quality
- Work comfortably on active construction and renovation sites
- Juggle multiple phases and mobilizations at once
- Flex your schedule for turnover deadlines — evenings, early mornings, weekends
